The main aim of TURBO is to increase resilience, preparedness, and responsiveness of HEIs in Ukraine through building their capacities, improving competences, and sharing experience.
Planned project duration: 2024-2026
Specific objectives:
- Improve and build capacities of Ukrainian HEIs in providing more flexible, relevant to labour market and practice-oriented educational offer in the field of business and management for faster integration into EU educational space.
- Contribute to the re-placement of IDP into new local community through their retraining and social adaptation.
- Share experience on retraining and social adaptation of IDPs within Ukraine and internationally.
- Improve the regulatory framework in the Ukrainian system for higher education through recognition of micro-credentials as a part of life-long learning practices at universities.
- Facilitate the cooperation between multiple actors to ensure social inclusiveness, increased employability of students, and quality of higher education during times of social crises.
The main target group: Ukrainian HEIs. Final beneficiaries are IDPs holding a higher education degree and searching for work and will benefit from academic retraining in Ukrainian HEIs. This is expected to lead to better employment, and integration into the local society, where IDP had to resettle due to the war.
Immediate results: training of at least 100 Ukrainian HEIs representatives in creation, running and assessment of educational programs; 7 educational programs in business and management based on the micro-credentials approach are developed and tested in 7 Ukrainian regions through professional training and social integration of at least 350 IDPs.
Long-term impact: to contribute to developing resilient universities flexible to adapt to emerging needs of Ukrainian society in context of dramatic changes and to integration of Ukrainian HEIs into EU. The project’s results will be communicated through different dissemination channels: webpage, social media, onsite/digital workshops, conferences and publications.
