On August 22, the official opening of the fall semester of the project “TURBO: Educational Program for Small and Medium Business Development” at the National University “Chernihiv Polytechnic.” took place in Ternopil.
This project is not only about education—it is about support and development. Its goal is to help people who have been forced to leave their homes due to war to gain new knowledge and skills, find themselves in entrepreneurship, and open the way to their own business. A microcredit training program in entrepreneurship is being conducted at the West Ukrainian National University. Social adaptation measures (psychological and legal adaptation, assistance in finding employment and starting a business) are being carried out by the public organization “Educational and Social Innovations.”
The participants were welcomed by Oksana Desyatnyuk, Rector of the West Ukrainian National University, Ulyana Koruts, Vice-Rector for Scientific and Pedagogical Activities, and Volodymyr Rubtsov, President of the International Foundation for Social Adaptation. The project coordinator from the NORD University (Norway) is Veronika Vakulenko. Director of the Educational and Scientific Center for Social and Psychological Support and Resilience Oksana Shandruk and Deputy Head of the NGO “Educational and Social Innovations” Volodymyr Uhrin also addressed the participants. The event was also attended by a person who is well aware of the needs and challenges of IDPs, as she works with relevant issues and requests on a daily basis – Yana Shkuratova, Chair of the IDP Council.
We sincerely hope that participants will benefit greatly from their participation in the project, which provides comprehensive and important support for adaptation in a new community.
This project has received funding from the European Union (ERASMUS-EDU-2023-CBHE) under grant agreement No 101129315.
