On 1 February, in Lviv was organized a working meeting between the TURBO project coordinator from Lviv Polytechnic, Associate Professor of the Department of Sociology and Social Work Tetiana Shapovalova and IFSA project coordinator Olha Filina. They updated the current status of the project, preparing for the most active phase - the implementation of a social adaptation and professional retraining programme for IDPs. Currently, the project team in Lviv has more than 100 applications for participation in the programme. The process of interviews for the first group of participants is starting. Teachers, trainers, counsellors, and psychologists are finalising the working materials for the group. The programme is scheduled to start on 1 March. Due to the fact that Lviv Polytechnic National University and the NGO “New Society of Ukraine” have been continuously and professionally supporting veterans and their families since 2024, and the Veteran Development Centre has been actively operating at the university, many military families and combatants who are also internally displaced persons are among those applying for the project. The space where the work with the groups will take place has a high level of accessibility for people with disabilities.
This project has received funding from the European Union (ERASMUS-EDU-2023-CBHE) under grant agreement No 101129315.
